Clothing and Footwear 

Since the trek up Mount Sinai is usually done overnight to reach the peak for sunrise, you must be prepared for a significant temperature shift. Therefore, dressing in multiple layers is absolutely essential to manage the cold during and the warmer temperatures closer to dawn.

Day by Day itinerary

Day : 3

First Day 

Depart from Cairo to reach the town of Saint Catherine. It is approximately a 6-hour journey.

Set out to climb the Mountain of Prophet Moses, Mt. Sinai, early in the morning. Sinai, also called Mt. Horeb, is the mountain believed to have been climbed by Moses to get the Ten Commandments from God.

See the sunrise from behind the top of the mountain, which is one of the highest mountains in Egypt.

Day : 2

Day 2: visit to St. Catherine’s Monastery 

Today, you will visit the Monastery of St. Catherine, the oldest inhabited monastery in the world, built on the site where Moses talked to God in the miracle of the burning bush. This monastery was built in the 3rd century by Empress Helena, mother of Constantine, the Roman Emperor, who put down the Pagan religion and proclaimed the Christian religion as the main religion of the Roman Empire.

In the evening, explore the city of St. Catherine.  

 Spend the night at the hotel 

Day : 3

Day 3: Mount Sinai 

Later, bet hike in one valley of St. Catherine on our way back 

Breakfast at the hotel. 

Drive back to Cairo.
